Recreational sports are the best way to stay fit, healthy, and entertained. Team sports give you a workout while enhancing your social life at the same time. Solo sports are a fun way to improve your physical and mental health at your own pace. No matter your age or fitness level, this list of sports is recommended for all experience levels.

1. Dodgeball
Dodgeball was the highlight of school gym class for many of us. Playing the nostalgic sport as an adult will bring back memories as you pelt your friends with a squishy ball. Dodgeball is arguably the most playful team sport you could choose to have a lot of fun.
2. Disc Golf
Disc golf is a way to make regular boring frisbee a ton of fun. It can also be played with a team or solo, making it an ideal game to pick up and play anytime. You can find targets in some public parks or purchase your own mobile one.

3. Pickleball
Pickleball has become all the rage these days and there's a good reason why. It's not an intimidating sport for newbies to try and doesn't require a lot of equipment. It's a very simple sport to grasp that will give you a workout without noticing.
4. Spikeball
Spikeball can be played just about anywhere; a beach, the park, or your backyard. Equipment is minimal and all you need are two players but the more the merrier. It's a great activity to bust out a get together for friendly competition.
5. Flag Football
Flag football doesn't require all the safety equipment because you won't be hardcore tackling your friends. It's basically the same rules without the fear of getting beat up. Even if you're not the most skilled football player, you'll enhance your cardio from all the running and strengthen your abs from all the laughing.

6. Soccer
Soccer is another one of those team sports that doesn't require a lot of equipment and all skill levels get a lot out of it. Recreational soccer is widely available at sports centers where you can join with a team or by yourself to be added to a team.
7. Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate frisbee is another way to take ordinary old frisbee throwing to the next level. This fun team sport involves a lot of cardio which will have your working up a sweat in no time. All you really need is a frisbee and two teams of people up for the challenge.

8. Softball
Softball is the ultimate all-American sport that people of all ages can pick up.
It's a great excuse to socialize with friends and enhance your athletic skills. Playing softball practices your endurance, hand-eye coordination, and team spirit.
9. Badminton
Badminton can be played for fun in your backyard or more competitively on a proper court. You can play individually, with a partner, or with as many players on either side as you want. Like pickleball, badminton is simple to learn and rewarding to play.
10. Volleyball
Whether on the beach or indoors, volleyball is a great team sport to play at any skill level. You can play beach volleyball with teams of 2, 4, or 6 and indoor is best with 6 but you can easily play with 4. It's a whole lot of fun to play and you'll give your entire body a workout without noticing.

Strap on your wheelies and bring back the 70s roller disco! Roller skating or blading is a joyful activity for all ages. You can throw on your skates and glide around the block, pop in to a roller arena, or join a roller derby if you're up for the challenge.
2. Cycling
Cycling is fantastic for your body and mind.
Once you have a proper bike and helmet, you're set to explore the streets and trails. Cycling gives you a sense of freedom while you engage in cardio and muscle strength.
3. Paddle Boarding
Paddle boarding may look intimidating at first but once you give it try, you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly. The water sport works your core and upper body strength while enforcing mindfulness. It's a peaceful activity you can do on your own, with friends, or even with your dog.
4. Rock Climbing
Want to work on problem solving while gaining muscle? Join a rock climbing gym! Rock climbing is a fun activity you can easily pick up at any age. You'll train your brain and your body at the same time.
5. Dancing
Dancing is the best way to let off some steam and boost your happiness. You could take dance lessons in any style of dance you desire, go to drop-in dance nights, or join a Zumba fitness class. From salsa to hip-hop, go out there and move your body.
6. Martial Arts
From karate to Tai Chi, there are many different forms of martial arts you could try. Martial arts trains you physically and mentally while preparing you for self defense. It can be a therapeutic fitness experience for many individuals.
7. Bowling
How could you not resist the cute shoes you get to wear when you hit the lanes? Bowling is a social sport that you can grasp pretty easily. You could join a competitive league or pop into drop-in nights at your leisure.
8. Swimming
Swimming is an amazing way to get physical exercise that strengthens your body fro head to toe. From a public pool to a lake, you can swim wherever you please. It's never too late to take swimming lessons or join a fitness class at a pool.
9. Archery
Want to feel invincible like Robin Hood or Katniss? Get yourself a bow and arrow and give archery a shot. Sign up for archery lessons so you can learn the proper techniques and safety protocols. Archery is a great sport to pick up solo but you can also make a lot of friends too.
10. Tennis
Tennis might seem like a pretentious game but don't let the white tennis skirts deter you, it's a fabulous sport for all ages. You can join others for group lessons or train with a personal coach. Playing tennis boosts your endurance, strength, hand-eye coordination, and your mental health.
